Grisalappalisa

Grísalappalísa, an eccentric, gripping charge of hardcore verve, R&B grounding and avant-garage challenge." this is how David Fricke of Rolling Stone Magazine describes Grísalappalísa, the prolific genre-defying Icelandic rock and roll outfit. Founded in 2012 from the remains of Jakobínarína, the group has been gathering unanimous praise and recognition since it's inception, notably receiving two Icelandic Music Awards and being named the Best Live Band in Iceland by The Reykjavik Grapevine. On top of their reputation for delivering completely out of control live shows which have been described as "everything good about rock 'n' roll" they have released two successful albums of their native language poetry-infused, freewheeling kraut, post punk cocktails, ALI (2013) and Rökrétt Framhald (2014), as well as two 7" cover records.

The seven-piece group has toured extensively in 2014 both locally and abroad, playing at Spot Festival in Denmark and Iceland Airwaves and supporting Danish stars Reptile Youth on a string of shows in Denmark.
