H.Hawkline plays guitar and sometimes sings, his hypnotic, repeated melodies tumble between the gaps of cog like motorik rhythms. From Fahey-esque guitar instumentals to mini-krautpop symphonies, the thread that ties the lot together is a strong sense of melody and a wavering notion of timing.
Having cut his teeth playing guitar alongside Lundy’s kosmiche kaptain, Nick Dymond, H.Hawkline is now ready to release his own brand of guitar gunk on the unsuspecting music loving crowds of Cardiff via local label ‘Shape Records’. His debut album ‘A Cup Of Salt’ will be out in time for Lundy’s annual pagan rodent festival ‘The Great Fire on Rat Island’ (Mid November).
