Landshapes

The newly renamed Landshapes have been honing in on a sound that doesn’t sit easily in any one genre.  It’s the noise of four people bashing it out in an old umbrella factory in Manor House, and the result is the sum of its four very distinct parts.  There are nods to psychedelia, rich ethereal soundscapes and heavy bass lines.  It’s wonky and playful, rough around the edges, and all woven together with mournful pop melodies, layered harmonies, and stomping percussion.

They’ve been working on their highly anticipated debut album with Ash Workman (Metronomy), expected for release early in early 2013.
