Dale Crover - Dave Curran - J Mascis - Tim Moss

"I like making fucked-up records," ---Tim Moss

If you've ever crossed paths with Porn mastermind Tim Moss, you know he looks like a fucking metal wizard and plays like Lucifer. The towering, long-haired, long-bearded California resident, Moss is the guiding force behind Porn.  This is a man skilled in compacting your skull like the trash collector, rattling gray matter with seriously psychedelic beauty and repetitive riffs thick enough to abbreviate your lung capacity. Although Moss steers clear of the conventional, his primary goal is not to piss people off -- that's just one of his many perks from the gig. He thrives on making brutal noise that exposes rock's gut parts as chunks of distortion and loops of feedback.

Dale Crover, also of the Melvins, has been a due-paying member of Porn now for roughly 6 years. Creating the aural equivalent of shooting heroin while peaking on blotter acid, Crover is arguably the best drummer in Rock, period.

Joining Moss and Crover to perform black-lit magic, direct from the lower Eastside, will be Dave Curran, bassist for the all mighty Unsane.

Special guest J Mascis, from Dinosaur Jr. will be sitting in and doing his best to keep up, expect J to employ his full arsenal of vintage effects pedals.  Bring the earplugs for this one.  Look for another guest or two to join in with the band as well.

At times, Porn sounds like a melted mix tape of noise, metal, and psychedelics, pushing you headfirst into frenzied, alien squalls of feedback. Then the rhythm section will switch gears and catapult down some dark rock freeway, distorted vocals flapping behind the roar of guitars. The directional shifts are so swift that the only things you can count on from Porn are plenty of uncharted trips to rock's outer spaces.

A collaboration with Japanese noise artist Merzbow entitled “Porn-Merzbow…and the Devil Makes Three” was just released this last year on Southern Records. Porn has released 4 albums over the years; the first album being on the now defunct label Man’s Ruin Records.
Porn is “An act of dark genius...... the true hesher sound of taking drugs to make music to take drugs too”.
