Post Louis

Pitchfork:

London-based duo Post Louis traffic in a similar kind of guitar-driven 1990s alt-rock as Katie Crutchfield’s Waxahatchee project, without allowing studied reverence to get in the way of confident songwriting. For lead guitarist Robbie Stern, Post Louis is his latest version of '90s rock nostalgia; he was once a member of Supergrass-philes Cajun Dance Party (at age 15 no less, along with Max Bloom and Dan Blumberg of Yuck fame).

Post Louis' latest single, “This Could Be a Bridge”, is a slack rock epic, building to buzzy crescendos with rubbery riffs that could have been lifted from a Siamese Dream B-side, melodramatic lyrics, and quick flashes of guitar god soloing from Stern. They’ve nailed their thrilling version of a classic indie rock sound.
