Rodrigo Amarante
Rodrigo Amarante is a Brazilian alt-indie rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Though Amarante often takes the stage solo, he is also well-known for his contributions to the rock groups Los Hermanos, Orquestra Imperial, and Little Joy. After meeting Devendra Banhart at the 2006 Tim Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Amarante and Banhart became occasional collaborators; a year later, Amarante appeared on Banhart's 2007 record Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon for the song "Rosa."
