The Greenhornes

Although their music is rooted in the classic sounds of rock and rolls past, Cincinnati, Ohio’s The Greenhornes have developed an iconic sound all their own. Forming in 1996, band members Craig Fox, Patrick Keeler, and Jack Lawrence have released numerous singles and three albums demonstrating a wide range of musical ability. Like their predecessors The Kinks, The Byrds, and The Yardbirds, The Greenhornes songs range from classic psychedelic sounds and soulful melodies to timeless rock anthems.

Culled from sessions produced by label-mate Brendan Benson, The Greenhornes last released a digital EP entitled East Grand Blues. This EP exemplifies the bands prolific song-writing while magnifying the individual talents of each of its members. The five-song EP was released in Summer 2005 on V2 in time for a tour with The White Stripes that August.

Along with recording their own material, members of The Greenhornes have been fortunate enough to play alongside numerous influential musicians who include Loretta Lynn (Patrick and Jack provide the rhythm section to Lorettas critically acclaimed and 2004 Grammy Award wining Van Lear Rose), Jack White (The White Stripes), Karen O (The Yeah Yeah Yeahs) Ronnie Spector, John Curley (Afghan Whigs), along with many others.

Craig, Patrick, and Jack have created a sound that is original yet influenced with great respect to those who have come before. The Greenhornes have made music that captures their love of authentic and unadulterated rock and roll.
