Following a brief break in April, FRICTION returns with two shows we’re totally stoked about in May, one at The Mercury Lounge and a second at Music Hall of Williamsburg.
5.5 @ THE MERCURY LOUNGE
There’s no better way to
celebrate Cinco de Mayo than with Bristol, UK’s experimental noise machine, Fuck Buttons. The
fiery duo will be coming back to New York City for one last U.S. date before
heading to Europe to play All Tomorrow’s Parties. Brooklyn trio, Sightings, who have
been dubbed “the most dangerous band in America” are on board as main support
for Fuck Buttons. Bring your earplugs - this one’s going to be a rager. Tickets available now!
5.28 @ MUSIC HALL OF WILLIAMSBURG
FRICTION returns to
Music Hall of Williamsburg for a late May party with Athens, GA psych/blues/punk
outfit Dark Meat.
Expect this wildly eclectic collective to bring a full-throttled frenzy live. Be
sure to come out early and take advantage of Music Hall’s brand new Happy Hour.
From 6pm until the opening band starts all well drinks and draft beer will be
$3. The rest of the lineup TBA shortly. Tickets on sale soon.
Be sure to check back for full and final details on both shows.
