Náttfari

Náttfari was formed in 2000 and became a part of the Icelandic underground rock scene at the turn of the century. The band received rave reviews for its performances, including an exclusive in the New York Times where its show at the Iceland Airwaves festival in 2001 was described as "mind-blowing".

The band went on a hiatus in 2002 but reunited in 2010. They played at the Iceland Airwaves festival that year and got picked by Reykjavik Grapevine magazine as one of the 15 best acts of the festival. Its show at the recent 2011 Airwaves festival furthermore got great reviews in Icelandic local newspapers.

Náttfari´s music can be described as dreamy post-rock, with powerful drums and dynamic instrumentation. 

Náttfari are Nói Steinn Einarsson, Andri Ásgrímsson, Haraldur Þorsteinsson og Ólafur Josephson.
