  • When is it?

    The festival takes place over two days, from Friday 9th to Saturday 10th January, at Mt. Buller Alpine Resort, an easy three hours drive from Melbourne, Australia. Fans are welcome to arrive from 6pm onwards on the Thursday evening.

  • What is included in the ticket price of $199 + booking fee per person?

    A festival ticket costs $199 + booking fee. This includes performances each day starting from midday and lasting until early morning, with 30+ acts set to play live across the weekend, on three different stages across the resort.

    A number of mountain venues will also be featuring performances and DJ sets until late for those who want to continue after the scheduled entertainment on the main stages has finished. There will be bars, cinemas and much much more.

  • How many ticket releases will there be?

    There will be two ticket releases for ATP Mt. Buller.

    First release tickets will be sold as an accommodation/ticket package and are for those who want to stay on the mountain. Fans who have requested accommodation will be issued a unique Ticket Security Code by email which will allow them to purchase their festival tickets from the website. First release tickets are priced at $199 each + booking fee.

    Second release tickets will be sold as General admission tickets excluding accommodation will be released on November 5th at 9am. General admission tickets for the event are priced at $199 each + booking fee.

  • Why do I need to arrange accommodation?

    Fans will need to arrange accommodation for the duration of the festival. If you would like to stay on the mountain you will need to make an accommodation booking request through the ATP website.

  • How is accommodation allocated?

    Accommodation will be allocated on a first in first served basis and will be allocated according to availability.

  • What if I have a ticket but no accommodation?

    If you would like assistance with obtaining accommodation for the
    festival we recommend that you contact High Country Reservations on

  • I've sorted out my accommodation but I still need a festival ticket.

    If you have requested your accommodation through the ATP website you will have received an email containing a Ticket Security Code which allows you to purchase tickets. Please check your inbox for an email from ATP Australia - if for some reason you cannot locate the code please contact feedback@atpfestival.com ensuring that you provide the full name that the accommodation was requested under - we will then check to ensure that this code has not been redeemed and reissue you with a new code.

    If you have arranged your own accommodation (say, in a private residence or camping ground in Mansfield or elsewhere) you will need to purchase a General admission ticket once they are released for sale on November 5th at 9am. General admission tickets will be available from the ATP website and through selected outlets.

  • What Times Can I Check In / Out?

    Check-in and check-out times vary between various accommodation providers. Once you have booked your accommodation, you will be provided with the exact times.

    Please note that you can check in on Thursday night and this may in fact be quicker and easier due to the large amount of people expecting to arrive on Friday morning.

  • I'm arriving in Mt. Buller on Thursday night - can I check in then?

    Yes, you will be able to gain access to Mt. Buller from 6pm on the Thursday night. However, you should confirm arrival times with your chalet to ensure that a manager will be on-hand to assist with check in and if there are any limitations as to how late you can arrive.

  • What does the accommodation include?

    Accommodation inclusions will vary from property to property, just as it does in any other holiday destination. Things that may differ include:
    • The provision of linen
    • Whether or not meals are supplied
    • In-room facilities such as an en suite, television etc.
    • Property facilities
    • The ability to self-cater

    High Country Reservations can answer any questions you may have about your accommodation and will be able to confirm what is included in your package when you request a quote or make a booking.

  • What do I need to bring/purchase?

    Once you have booked and paid for your accommodation, you will be supplied with all of the details about the chalet you will be staying in. The facilities and service offered will vary from chalet to chalet so ensure you read this form in advance so that you are fully aware of any items that you may need to bring. As it will be the middle of summer please pack sensible sun protection such as sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.

  • When will I receive my tickets?

    Tickets will be sent by registered post approximately one month before the event. For those who have arranged accommodation through High Country Reservations, you will also receive your accommodation pack with your tickets.

  • What time do the bands start on Friday?

    Scheduled entertainment begins at midday on Friday. A full schedule of playing times will be posted on the ATP website in mid-December.

  • What if I have a problem with my ticket?

  • What happens if I lose/break my wristband?

    If you lose or break your wristband please come to the Information Kiosk located in the Village Square. If you have the broken wristband please bring this with you so it can be replaced straight away.

  • Where do I go if I have a problem over the weekend?

    If you have any problem over the weekend, please go to the Information Kiosk located in the Village Square. If they cannot solve your problem they will contact Barry and Deborah, the festival organisers, who will be happy to assist.

  • Is there an ATM on-site?

    National Australia Bank has an ATM located in Cow Camp Plaza, in the Village Square; and there are a couple of Westpac ATM's in Mansfield as well as businesses that may allow small cash withdrawals or advances. To avoid queuing or the possibility of the machine running out of cash we recommend that you bring adequate cash to the festival.

  • Is there a bar at the event?

    Mt. Buller is fully licensed with a selection of bars and pubs. If you plan on drinking alcohol in any of the licensed areas you must have the appropriate 18 and over wristband. To ensure you receive an 18 and over wristband please bring along Photo ID to the festival.

    Please remember that while you are welcome to bring your own alcohol and drink it in your own accommodation, you are not permitted to bring any alcohol into the licensed areas (which is the entire outdoor precinct of the Mt. Buller village)

  • What about buying food?

    The Mt. Buller 'Foodworks' supermarket provides locals and resort visitors with a year-round service, taking care of all your shopping needs.

    Located at the base of the Blue Bullet Chairlift, the full-service supermarket stocks grocery, fruit and vegetables, dairy, frozen, and ‘heat and serve' meal options. It has an extensive liquor department with a beer cool room. The supermarket also carries newspapers and magazines. There are also restaurants, cafes, bars, bistros etc.

  • I have a stall and would like to set up at ATP, how do I go about it?

    The only merchandise we currently sell is ATP merchandise like T-shirts and CDs and also merchandise by artists performing at the event.

  • Our band would like to play ATP and they are great, how do I go about it getting them booked in?

    Sorry but all acts and DJ's playing ATP are selected by the curators. So if you haven't been invited it is not likely to happen. Sorry, maybe next year?

  • Can I bring my pets to the event?

    Pets (any non-native animal) are not permitted to enter the Alpine
    Resort unless they have a permit. (Permits are only available to full-time year round residents or full-time ski season residents).

    Guide dogs are permitted, in line with Victoria legislation.  (Guide dogs in training will require a permit, available by contacting Mt. Buller Resort Management on +61 3 5777 6077)

  • How do I get to the site?

    Mt. Buller Alpine Resort is situated 248kms north east of Melbourne, an easy three hour drive from the city.

    The closest service town to Mt. Buller is Mansfield, which is located 48km away from the resort, en route from Melbourne. It's a great place to stock up on supplies, grab a bite to eat and stretch your legs before you reach Buller. It is also the last place to buy petrol if you are driving.

    By air

    Mt. Buller can be accessed via a number of airports. The best options are as follows:

    • Melbourne Tullamarine (domestic and international)
    • Melbourne Avalon (domestic)
    • Albury (domestic - regional)

    For either of the Melbourne airports, you will have to catch a shuttle bus, taxi or transfer service to the Melbourne CBD. From Melbourne, you can catch a V/Line bus that will take you to Mansfield and then on to Mt. Buller (please see below info on bus services).

    Alternatively, you can hire a car from the airport and drive directly to Buller.

    By bus

    Timetable and connection information for those departing on Thursday or Friday and returning on Sunday is as follows:

    THURSDAY AND FRIDAY BUS DEPARTURE - MELBOURNE TO MT. BULLER

    V/Line bus service from Southern Cross to Mansfield.
    Departs: 8:35am
    Arrives: 11:35am

    ATP bus service from Mansfield to Mt. Buller.
    Departs: midday (meeting the 11.35 V/Line)
    Arrives: 12:45pm

    Note: Only the morning V/Line bus departure from Melbourne will connect with the ATP bus service in Mansfield. If you're on the evening bus service from Melbourne you will need to arrange alternative transport to the mountain once you arrive in Mansfield.

    SUNDAY BUS DEPARTURE - MT. BULLER TO MELBOURNE

    ATP bus service from Mt. Buller to Mansfield.
    Departs: midday
    Arrives: 12:45pm

    V/Line bus service from Mansfield to Southern Cross.
    Departs: 6:00pm
    Arrives: 9:05pm

    To book your V/Line bus ticket please visit the V/Line website or call them on 1800 800 120.

    To book your ATP bus ticket please contact High Country Reservations on 1800 BULLER.

    Note: V/Line bus can collect passengers who book a ticket in advance from any of the following stops on the way to Mansfield:

    Southern Cross Station - Box Hill - Nunawading - Ringwood - Croydon - Lilydale - Yarra Glen - Glenburn - Yea - Molesworth - Yarck - Merton - Woodfield - Bonnie Doon - Maindample

    For further details regarding departure times and pickup points please visit the V/Line website. We encourage you to consider your transport options while discussing your accommodation booking for the weekend.

    By road

    When driving, there are several different routes that you can take to get to Mt. Buller. The route you choose will depend on where you are leaving from:

     

    • From Melbourne: Take Plenty Rd to Whittlesea, drive through Yea and on to Mansfield
    • From Melbourne: Take the Hume Highway to Tallarook, drive through Yea and on to Mansfield
    • From Melbourne: Take the Hume Highway to the Benalla/Mansfield turn off and continue on to Mansfield
    • From Melbourne: Take the Melba Highway through Yarra Glen, drive through Yea and on to Mansfield

    No matter which route you take from Melbourne to Mt. Buller you will eventually come to Mansfield - the closest major town to the resort. Pass through Mansfield and follow the signs to Mt. Buller. The Mansfield to Mt. Buller village trip is 48km long and takes 35 - 45 minutes.

    Entry to the Mt. Buller Village

    About 28 kms past Mansfield you will arrive at the Mirimbah Ticket Gate. You will need to stop here and show a valid ticket for each person in your vehicle. Tickets CANNOT be purchased at this point - you must purchase your ticket prior to arrival.

    Once your ticket has been validated and exchanged for festival wristbands, you will be allowed to continue on your journey up to Mt. Buller.

    Car Parking For the safety of all festival goers, general traffic is not permitted to enter the Mt. Buller Village. As such, when you reach the outskirts of the village you will be met by a parking attendant who will direct you to a parking spot. Where you park will be determined by whether you are staying overnight, or simply for the day. Parking is free.

    Once you leave your car, you can access the Village via a number of ways:

    Day visitors

    • Chairlift - Horse Hill car park between 10am and 4pm.

    You can board this chairlift free of charge and take a ride over to Spurs Restaurant. From Spurs, it is a short 10minute downhill walk to the main stage. Please note that bulky luggage cannot be taken on the chairlift - only backpacks and light luggage.

    • A shuttle bus will be operating from the car parks that will take you to your accommodation.
    • Walking - a brisk 15 minute walk uphill to the Village.
    • The MMBL bus from Mansfield will take you into the Village.

  • How many tickets are for sale?

     ATP Mt. Buller is capped at 6,000 people to ensure plenty of space for everyone.

  • Is Internet available on the mountain?

    Yes, Telstra and Optus 3G networks provide full coverage on the mountain. There are a handful of wireless networks scattered over the village, one of the better value ones is the Black Mountain HotSpot located at Cow Camp which charges $15 for 24 hours with a 400MB limit.

  • Where can I store any valuables?

    Each chalet has its own storage facilities - you will need to confirm how this works at booking or upon arrival.

  • What else is there to do?

    Apart from nursing a huge hangover, there are plenty of nature hikes, mountain bike tracks and viewing points over of one of Australia's most scenic mountain ranges. On-site facilities include a cinema (with films picked by your curators and ATP!), tennis and the Gnome Roam. There is also a fully equipped gymnasium and an indoor rock climbing facility both of which are available for a small fee. There are many other activities which are chalet specific so please ask at arrival what they have available for the festival.

  • How long do I have to redeem my Ticket Security Code (for those buying first release accommodation/tickets)?

    Fans who have booked and paid for accommodation through ATP and High Country Reservations are guaranteed festival tickets; as such Ticket Security Codes will remain valid until redeemed by the fan. If a Code remains unused for longer than 1 month, you will be contacted via email to confirm your accommodation and festival ticketing.

  • What are your photography / video / recording rules?

    Professional cameras are prohibited unless accompanied  with a valid photopass.

    Video cameras and audio recording equipment are also prohibited.

  • What about access for people with disabilities?

    Disabled access and facilities around Mt Buller are limited. All stage areas are accessible via roads or the ramp area of Athlete's Walk, but it should be noted that the ascent is steep. It should also be noted that any persons who have considerable mobility restrictions may find general accommodation inappropriate.

    Access to festival stages:

    •  Bourke Street Stage Area - accessible from the road or Athlete's Walk (uphill).
    •  Village Stage Area - accessible from the side of the Kooroora Hotel or via a ramp next to the Clock Tower.

     Accommodation with disabled access:

    •  Ajax - Ramp and disabled facilities.
    •  MUSKI - Disabled room available.
    •  Mt Buller Chalet - Lift access to all floors, disabled toilet on ground floor, access from Athlete's Walk and disabled room available.

     Public toilets with disabled access:

    •  Abom - Disabled toilet, access from Bourke Street.
    •  Horse Hill Carpark - Disabled toilet, single level.
    •  Cow Camp Plaza - Disabled toilet, lower level, access from Bus area.

    Public transport:

    No buses or shuttles in the Mt. Buller area have disabled access. However, special access to the Village for any cars carrying disabled patrons will be granted.

    Parking and vehicle access to your accommodation:

    Vehicles displaying a disabled sticker will be given access to the village to enable closer access to accommodation. Drivers after drop-off will have the option to move their vehicle to a designated disabled parking spot in the village or allowed to return to the general carparking facilities outside of the village. As there is only limited disable parking space within the village please contact feedback@atpfestival.com prior to the festival to ensure that you are able to access one of these spaces if required.

    Companion card:

    Companions who will be attending the festival with a fan will be entitled companion (free) access to the festival.

  • What about under 18s/kids/babies?

    Yes, there are facilities for families and you are welcome to bring kids. Please bear in mind that some accommodation options are more suited for kids than others so please let the reservations team know your children's ages so they can be catered for accordingly. If your kids require beds they will need to purchase accommodation the same as an adult, however if they are in cots (and under the age of 5) they will not need to purchase a 'bed'. However, you will need to supply your own cot.

    Some limited licences prohibit minors after certain hours, but the majority of venues are kid-friendly. As a rule of thumb, under 13's are not allowed in venues after 8pm and 13 - 18's will only be allowed in venues after 8pm if accompanied by an (over 18) adult.

    Please bear in mind that the event is catered towards adults, so it is your responsibility to ensure that they are not exposed to adult content on the televisions or elsewhere at the festival.

    Festival entry is free for kids under the age of 12.

  • Is there a public bus running between Mansfield and Mt. Buller during the festival?

    For fans staying off the mountain there is a limited bus service to ferry you up and down the mountain for both days of the festival.

    Departure points and times are as follows:

    Stop 1:   Mansfield Depot, 137 High Street, Mansfield - 11.30am & 1.30pm
    Stop 2:   Hunt Club, Merrijig - 11.45am & 1.45pm

    Stop 4:   Mirimbah General Store, Mirimbah - 12.00pm & 2.00pm
    Stop 5:   Mt Buller Village Square - 12.30pm & 2.30pm

  • What's the weather like on the mountain?

    The temperature on Mt Buller is approximately 10 degrees less than Melbourne and gets particularly cold at night so make sure you bring a warm jumper or jacket plus some wet weather gear in case of rain. For full weather details visit the Bureau website.

  • Terms and conditions

    Terms and conditions of entry.

    1. The right of admission is reserved by ATP Australia Pty Ltd and tickets cannot be re-sold without the express permission of ATP Australia Pty Ltd.

    2. This ticket is sold on behalf of ATP Australia Ptd Ltd who are responsible for providing the event and is sold subject to the terms and conditions of sale of ATP Australia Pty Ltd as set out at www.atpfestival.com

    3. ATP Australia Pty Ltd reserve the right to change the listed bill, and/or vary advertised programmes, ticket price, seating arrangements and audience capacity without prior notification.

    4. No professional type cameras or recording devices will be allowed in the venues on site.

    5. Ticket holders consent to their filming and sound recording as members of the audience.

    6. Tickets are non-refundable or transferable. If an outdoor performance/event is cancelled due to adverse weather or for any other causes reasonably beyond ATP Australia Pty Ltd control, there is not right to a refund or exchange, and ATP Australia Pty Ltd is not obliged to arrange a substitute service, event or performance.

    7. No illegal substances may be brought onto or taken on the premises. Anyone caught in possession of such substances will be ejected from the premises and reported to the police.

    8. No open glass bottles of any sort shall be carried on the premises.

    9. All ticket holders are required to comply with Alpine regulations and Bylaws as set out by The Mount Buller and Mount Stirling Alpine Resort management Board and Buller Ski Lifts pty Ltd as set out at the ATP website www.atpfestival.com.

    10. Ticket holders may be subject to continuous sound levels which may cause damage to hearing.

    11. Forgery warning: Forgery of Tickets or Passes is a criminal offence punishable by law.

    12. Failure to follow any of the ATP Terms and Conditions of entry shall result in ejection of the premises without refund of your ticket.
