"In terms of vibe, it is simply the best music festival there is." - NPR

The world famous All Tomorrow's Parties are very excited to present the I'll Be Your Mirror USA festival this September 21st-23rd at Pier 36 in Manhattan, New York. Pier 36 is a new indoor venue sitting on the edge of the East River between the Manhattan & Williamsburg Bridges - it's outside area boasts glorious views of Brooklyn and the Statue of Liberty.

Today ATP are very excited to announce FRANK OCEAN as a headliner on the Friday night. His recent 'Channel Orange' LP received a 9.5 rated review from Pitchfork, and it gives us great pleasure to add him to the festival. He has been picked by our co-curator Greg Dulli of The Afghan Whigs. The Whigs recently released an amazing cover of Frank's 'Lovecrimes' - download free from http://www.atpfestival.com/assets/newyork/

Also confirmed are ATP fan favourite HANNIBAL BURESS who joins the Friday comedy line-up, and a second performance from ex-Sonic Youth member LEE RANALDO - his previously announced Friday night performance will now be a special 'Hanging Guitars' show, and he plays an extra full band show featuring Steve Shelley on drums on the Sunday. EDAN THE DEEJAY also returns to ATP for one of his inimitable DJ sets on the Friday.

The Saturday night of this year's festival will be headlined by The Afghan Whigs (who have reunited after a 13 year hiatus) and curated by their frontman Greg Dulli, with ATP curating the Friday and Sunday nights - the line-up also features The Roots, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, José González, The Antlers, DJ Questlove, Charles Bradley, The Make-Up, Dirty Three, Mark Lanegan Band, Hot Snakes, Thee Oh Sees and many many more, see below for the full line-up so far!

Tickets are on sale now priced at $199 for the Weekend. A limited amount of day passes are also available priced at $60 for Friday & $75 for Saturday/Sunday.

As well as three days of incredible live music and comedy on the Friday, our friends at The Criterion Collection will return to run the Cinema across the weekend. All three days feature DJs and other activities to be confirmed. Friday runs from 5pm-1am; Saturday and Sunday run from noon-1am.

Acting as sister events to the ATP Festivals which usually take place in holiday resorts, I'll Be Your Mirror is a series of artist curated music, film and art events taking place in cities worldwide. IBYM is ATP without the accommodation aspect and is named after the b-side to The Velvet Underground's original All Tomorrow's Parties 7" single.

Here is an updated look at the line-up so far including the new additions. Please note sadly I Break Horses have postponed all U.S. dates until 2013 so will no longer appear on the Sunday...

ATP History:

"Sometimes promoters have good ideas. And those guys pretty much always do, and I have to say as festivals go, that's the best one out there." - Mike Patton

All Tomorrow's Parties has been promoting festivals and concerts throughout the world for the last thirteen years. It was founded in the wake of Belle and Sebastian’s Bowlie Weekender, with Mogwai curating in the unusual setting of Pontins Holiday Camp, Camber Sands. Since then the festival has appeared every year and has expanded across the globe continuing to set itself apart from large scale corporate festivals by staying intimate and fan-friendly. The line-ups are chosen by significant bands or artists which results in eclectic events that combine performances by legendary and influential acts with appearances by the latest crop of experimental artists from any (and every) musical genre. The festival has become more successful with every passing year, and ATP events have taken place in the UK, USA, Europe and Australia, with past curators including Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mike Patton, My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, Sonic Youth, Slint, and Tortoise. In 2011 ATP launched a new series of curated city-based events called I'll Be Your Mirror, starting in Tokyo in February, London in July and Asbury Park, New Jersey in September.

ATP has set itself apart from other festivals by embracing seemingly disparate artistic genres, with events featuring art exhibitions, cinema programmes, spoken word performances and stand up comedy. It's been called 'Unforgettable' by Spin and 'the most enjoyable festival experience of our reporter's life' by Pitchfork. It has spawned an acclaimed concert series (Don't Look Back), a record label (ATP Recordings), and the release of a feature length documentary about the festivals from Warp X, titled All Tomorrow’s Parties, out now on DVD.
