On the weekend of the 4th-5th May 2013 at Alexandra Palace, London, All Tomorrow's Parties will present the third UK I'll Be Your Mirror event. Tickets are on sale via this link from this Thursday 31st January at 9am priced at £59 for Day Tickets or £110 for a 2 Day Pass.
ATP are incredibly excited to announce our headliners and curators for this year...
Saturday 4th May will see the long awaited return of New York's mighty Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who will play their first London headline show in four years - their new album Mosquito, the followup to 2009's It's Blitz, will be released this Spring. The band will be personally handpicking the line-up for their day. So far we can confirm that they will be joined by the inimitable live sensations Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Atlanta rockers Black Lips, the excellent Anika, Stockholm's The Field, Polaris prize nominee Dirty Beaches, Garage rock stunners King Khan And The Shrines, and Mick Harvey (The Birthday Party, The Bad Seeds) who will play a special set paying tribute to the songs of Serge Gainsbourg. There is much much more to be confirmed - Saturday day tickets cost £59.
On Sunday 5th May, ATP are very happy to present Grizzly Bear who, following the huge success of last year's Shields album and a sold out show at Brixton Academy will play their largest UK show to date as headliners of I'll Be Your Mirror. They will also be personally curating the rest of the line-up for their day. We're very happy to be able to confirm legendary Beach Boys collaborator Van Dyke Parks, cult indie rock group The Walkmen, post-rock pioneers Tortoise, New Jersey's Real Estate, Sweden's I Break Horses and Californian singer/songwriter Cass McCombs as their first choices, with many more acts to be confirmed in the weeks ahead. Sunday day tickets also cost £59.
Around 35 bands in total are set to play the event across the two days plus DJs, Films and more to be confirmed!
Acting as sister events to the world famous ATP Festivals which usually take place in holiday resorts, and named after the b-side to The Velvet Underground's original All Tomorrow's Parties 7" single, I'll Be Your Mirror is a series of artist curated music, film and art events taking place in cities worldwide. Previous London events were curated by Portishead and Mogwai respectively, with the events featuring amazing performances from acts such as PJ Harvey, Grinderman, Slayer, Afghan Whigs, Godspeed You! The Great Hall of Alexandra Palace has played host to a history of special acts and events - Led Zeppelin in 1972, New Order, the Stone Roses, The White Stripes, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, The Pixies, the Grateful Dead and the epic 1967 kaleidoscopic rave ‘The Technicolour Dream’ which featured Pink Floyd, The Pretty Things & The Move, and now I’ll Be Your Mirror continues to add to the venue’s list of historical moments, in what promises to be another unparalleled weekend of the best music, art and film in the Capital.
Saturday & Sunday Weekend Tickets cost £110. Saturday or Sunday Day Tickets are priced at £59 each.
Many more artists, DJs and other activities are to be confirmed for the event in the coming weeks and months. Across the weekend ATP are bringing to the venue a cinema, an outdoor rose garden stage, excellent food vendors, adding extra bars (including cash bars) and toilets and also putting on shuttle buses from Wood Green (the closest tube station) to the venue and back.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult, under 5s are admitted free. Under 10s must be out of the venue by 8pm. Please make sure young children use ear protection! Doors will open at 12 noon on each day, with the event finishing at 1am each night. Headliners will finish by 11pm both nights.

All Tomorrow's Parties has been promoting festivals and concerts throughout the world for more than 10 years. It was founded in the wake of Belle and Sebastian’s Bowlie Weekender, with Mogwai curating in the unusual setting of Pontins Holiday Camp, Camber Sands. Since then the festival has appeared every year and has expanded across the globe continuing to set itself apart from large scale corporate festivals by staying intimate and fan-friendly. The line-ups are chosen by significant bands or artists which results in eclectic events that combine performances by legendary and influential acts with appearances by the latest crop of experimental artists from any (and every) musical genre. The festival has become more successful with every passing year, and ATP events have taken place in the UK, USA, Europe and Australia, with past curators including Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mike Patton, My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, Sonic Youth, Sl int, and Tortoise. In 2011 ATP launched a new series of curated city-based events called I'll Be Your Mirror, which have so far taken place in London, Tokyo, New York, Asbury Park, with the festival debuting this February in Melbourne.
ATP has set itself apart from other festivals by embracing seemingly disparate artistic genres, with events featuring art exhibitions, cinema programmes, spoken word performances and stand up comedy. It's been called 'Unforgettable' by Spin and 'the most enjoyable festival experience of our reporter's life' by Pitchfork. It has spawned an acclaimed concert series (Don't Look Back), a record label (ATP Recordings), and the release of a feature length documentary about the festivals from Warp X, titled All Tomorrow’s Parties, out now on DVD.
