Neil Hamburger

“A brilliantly awful persona of an old-school, C-list funnyman—the kind with an ill-fitting tuxedo and an enormous, greasy combover—on a very bad night. Neil Hamburger toys with an audience’s expectations (and patience), and indeed his act is a kind of rude commentary on stand-up comedy altogether.”--New York Times

America’s Funnyman Neil Hamburger is the hardest working comedian in existence, performing up to 399 shows a year to critical acclaim and audience bewilderment. He tours non-stop across America, Australia and Canada. He has released 8 full-length CDs, 2 DVDs (mainly on the Drag City label), and his internet TV work with Tom Green has made him the toast of the “global village”. Recently, Neil’s frequent appearances on Fox News’ “Red Eye” program have exposed Neil’s diseased comedy stylings to disgruntled right-wingers. Neil can be seen in the motion picture “Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny”, and toured extensively with Tenacious D, including a memorable gig at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Neil appears on Comedy Central CD “Comedy Death Ray”, and recently released an album of country and western songs, backed by members of The Tubes and Todd Rundgren’s band.
