Elf Power
Elf Power formed in 1994 and have spent the last decade releasing six albums, and touring all over the world. From America to Europe to Japan and Brazil the band has been winning converts across the earth (and beyond!). 2005 found the band hard at work again, writing and recording their seventh master work enititled "Back to the Web" planned to be released worldwide on April 25, 2006 on Rykodisc (www.rykodisc.com). Elf Power's latest effort is a darker, lushly orchestrated mix of eclectic songwriting that is sure to conjure up thoughts of 1997's "When the Red King Comes", but with a more mature approach to arrangements, lyrics, and instrumentation. Bob Dylan's "Desire" might be a closer bedfellow but why dont we let you decide. Elf Power also runs their own label/conservation group entitled Orange Twin (see www.orangetwin.com). The label releases albums from Elf Power, Neutral Milk Hotel, and many others. Proceeds from sales go towards supporting the land conservation group, which involves 150 acres of land on the outskirts of Athens.
