Even

Even played their first gig in 1994 at the Empress of India Hotel in Fitzroy and after a number of EPs, the band released their first studio album, Less is More in 1996. The album was critically acclaimed and they were named Rolling Stone Hot Band Of The Year as well as being nominated for an ARIA award for Best Independent Release. From 1996-2004, Even were signed to Melbourne 's Rubber Records . Even released their last LP Free Kicks on an independent label in 2004.

It's been a long time between drinks for this Melbourne three piece, but Rome wasn't built in a recording studio over a mere three to four weeks. The new ST record due for release in February 08 has been over two years in the making for good reason. The new record is something the band might be so bold as to describe as “something we're extremely proud of”, “our best record ever” and “an Australian masterwork destined to free minds, inspire musicians and pull roots.” It is the album all music lovers have been waiting for.

The new album is Intelligent, inspired, inspirational classic rock. With guest appearances by Peter Holstrom from The Dandy Warhols, Bruce Haymes, Paul Thomas, Wayne Connolly, Lisa Gammaldi and Rob Price just to really kick it in the guts.

Even have toured Australia extensively throughout their existence and their reputation as one of this countries best live bands is well deserved. Even has shared stages with Placebo, The Dandy Warhols, Dinosaur Jr, Buffalo Tom and Urge Overkill among others. And they are about to hit the road again!
