Linkous recorded his first demo in his home studio back on his farm in Bremo Bluff, VA. This was picked up by Capitol Records, whom he signed to for the release of his acclaimed debut album, vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot. From which came the alternative radio hit single, Someday I Will Treat You Good.
Linkous has since released another 3 albums as Sparklehorse, developing his dreamy, evocative and melancholy style, including notable collaborations with PJ Harvey and Nina Pearson (the Cardigans). His latest release in 2006, Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain, features contributions from Tom Waits and Danger Mouse.
