VOTING BEGINS ON FANS STRIKE BACK!
Tuesday 18th November, 2008 Here's how it works. When you buy tickets you will be sent an email with a reference number and a link to the voting page. The voting has already begun and if you've already bought tickets you should receive your email very soon if you haven't already.
The person who actually buys the tickets will log into a page using the reference number from their email, where they will be able to email out voting forms to each person in their apartment.
Each person then needs to use that form to submit their top ten bands.
Remember you cannot vote for any bands that have played a UK ATP festival
before! A full list of ineligible bands is
here. We will also keep up to date a list of bands that we have approached but who cannot play, so keep an eye on that too as you will be unable to vote for them. To see that list click

The first round of votes will run over a period of 5 weeks. Each week, the received votes will be tallied and the Top 20 listed on www.atpfestival.com in order of popularity. Each week we will go after the bands in first and second position. If they can't make it we will approach bands 3 or 4 on the list for that week. Please note that this means the earlier you vote the more your vote will mean.
Some things to keep in mind:
- The resort has a capacity of less than 6000. Please bear this in mind when making your choices. You can ask for someone like Bob Dylan or The Rolling Stones or Radiohead but they will inevitably be considerably more expensive than the whole line-up put together, thus wasting one of your choices.
- We are unable to raise the dead.
- Just because a band is at the top of the list does not mean they will play. They have to be available and have to want to do it.
- If you put a band that is taking a hiatus or has broken up several years ago, please consider that you might be wasting a vote. You might not be, so you are welcome to take a chance, but an artist has to want to do it!
- You cannot vote for the same band twice.
REMEMBER: YOU CANNOT VOTE FOR A BAND WHO HAVE PLAYED A UK ATP FESTIVAL BEFORE! DON'T WASTE YOUR VOTES!
If you are the one that has bought the apartment and you feel you have a right to then take all the votes, please bear in mind you will have to share your weekend with people who did not get a chance to vote because of you.
Any attempt to manipulate the voting system will be taken very seriously by ATP and could lead to your votes being disqualified. Play fair. Choose wisely.
