Boredoms, Japan’s iconoclastic experimental music “unit”, redefine the words “fringe” and “frontier.” Acknowledging no limits of genre or form, there are no boundaries, no ceiling on the possibilities of experience and expression for the Boredoms.  Formed in Osaka in 1986 by EYE, the band has spent the last two decades redefining the concept of noise and experimentation within pop, punk, and psychedelic music.  Their last album, 2004's "Seadrum/House of Sun", was a blissed-out trance-inducing precursor to the legendary Boadrum performances that have only furthered their notoriety.  On 07/07/07, EYE and company gathered 77 like-minded drummers to perform a unique piece and staged another unique event on 08/08/08 with 88 drummers (both in NYC and LA) for another long spectacle.  Their most recent releases , "Super Roots 9" and "Super Roots 10", capture a stunning 45 minute live piece with a choir and a series of genre bending remixes of their track "Ant 10"  respectively.  This year will see Boredoms pushing forward with a handful of highly anticipated Boadrum performances that will likely continue to exceed expectations!
