It's time for Mogwai to walk among us once more, with the news of their much eagerly anticipated comeback. The Glasgow quintet have just released the brand new 'Batcat' EP, and are on tour throughout the USA and Europe during September-October. 'Batcat' is taken from the new mega album 'The Hawk Is Howling'.

Since their last proper studio album release, 'Mr Beast' in March 2006, Mogwai have provided the truly mesmerising soundtrack to Turner Prize Winning artist Douglas Gordon and Philippe Parreno's 2006 film 'Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait' - Acclaimed as 'The greatest film about football ever made' (The Observer).  The same year Mogwai also shared recording credits with Kronos Quartet and composer Clint Mansell for the soundtrack to Darren Aronofsky's cult sci-fi epic 'The Fountain', and they ended 2006 on a high with a sold out show at London's Royal Albert Hall. Since then in between the odd show and reissuing the album 'Young Team' as a deluxe edition, they have written and recorded their sixth studio album 'The Hawk Is Howling.'

This is their first album in 3 years.
