Tripwires
Tripwires are a band from Reading, UK, the band formed in 2007 and have regularly been performing around the country since. Their sound is distinguishable by big, reverb-laden, distorted guitar and big melody; reminiscent of Shoegaze, Grunge and early 90's guitar pop.
The band have received support airplay from Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 1), and from Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Music). In August 2008, Tripwires performed at the Reading and Leeds festivals. In the summer of 2010 Tripwires began recording their debut album which is due to be released spring 2011 on London independent label Club AC30.
