Monthly Overview - ATP Gigs, Festivals, Releases for June 2012

Thanks to everyone that came to I'll Be Your Mirror London this weekend, we hope you had a fantastic time! Thanks go out too of course to all the bands and filmmakers and everyone else that made it a great weekend.

This month we have three fantastic gigs, a stage at both Primavera events and also a really great release from ATP Recordings. We'll also have news updates on our forthcoming festivals so make sure to keep an eye on the newsfeed on the front of our site and follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Here's a full rundown of what we have coming up in June...



31st May - 9th June - This month ATP will once again return to Europe to present stages at both the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona, Spain and at their new sister festival in Porto, Portugal.

4th June - Previously released as a limited edition as part of Record Store Day, on the fourth we will fully release the debut album from Anywhere - a new collaborative projected started by Christian Eric Beaulieu (Triclops!, Liquid Indian) and Cedric Bixler Zavala (The Mars Volta, At The Drive-In) alongside very special guests Mike Watt (The Stooges, fIREHOSE, Minutemen) and providing guest vocals alongside Cedric, Rachel Fannan (ex-Sleepy Sun). You can hear the title track here. The album will be released on LP, CD & Digital, with pre-orders available via this link.

6th June - Lee Ranaldo and a lineup featuring Steve Shelley, Alan Licht and Irwin Menken are touring this month in support of Lee's new solo album on Matador entitled 'Between The Times And The Tides', with support from excellent NY quartet The Men. They play London next Wednesday 6th June. Tickets are available in advance from this link or on the door.

7th June - The incredible Dirty Three made their long awaited live return to promote new album Towards The Low Sun this past weekend at I'll Be Your Mirror, and on the 7th they play a sold out London show at Cargo. Don't worry if you missed out on tickets though, they'll be back in the capital in November playing Shepherds Bush Empire (info here).

 

12th June - The incomparable Sunn O))) will return to London this month to perform at Koko alongside very special guests Nurse With Wound. Tickets are available now from this link - not many are left.
