Animal Collective curated ATP Mix Tape released, ATP Facebook Pop Quiz
and Book List confirmed in lead-up to
All Tomorrow's Parties curated by Animal Collective
13-15 May, Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead
The renowned Animal Collective will curate the only ATP festival weekend of May 2011 at Butlins Minehead, England. The band have climbed into the hot seat where they will play twice, and have chosen from amongst their collaborators and influences to bring together one of the most diverse and culturally important mixtures of live music ATP has seen in recent times. The event features an array of acclaimed acts including Big Boi of Outkast, Beach House, Terry Riley, Gang Gang Dance, Kurt Vile, Meat Puppets, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti and The Frogs and many many more. MIX TAPE
To celebrate the stunning line-up, today ATP release a free 2 hour MP3 Mix Tape featuring music from many of the artists picked by Animal Collective which is now available to download from this link: http://www.atpfestival.com/assets/acmix/index.html
POP QUIZ
ATP are also excited to announce a special Pop Quiz Competition on Facebook in which three lucky teams can win 4 Tickets + Accommodation at the festival! Two prizes for those with superior music knowledge and one prize for those coming up with the best team name. Entrants should email feedback@atpfestival.com before this Friday 25th March with Pop Quiz in the subject line to register a team name. At 1.30pm on that day, ATP will put the first 5 questions up, one every five minutes as different consecutive posts on the ATP Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/atpfestival
Another 5 questions will follow at 1.30pm on Monday 28th, another 5 at 1.30pm on Wednesday 30th and the final 5 on Friday 1st March at 1.30pm. Each question will be about a different artist on the line-up - with some answers to be found on the line-up bio pages on our site and others to be found elsewhere online!
Teams will take part by commenting on the Facebook question posts with their team name and answer. The first three teams to get the correct answer earn a point! The two winning teams will be those who get the most points over the 20 questions. There will also be a prize picked by ATP for best team name - that team will also win 4 Tickets + Accommodation.
